Hi. I hope you’re doing ok. Suggestion: set your alarm clock for bedtime, to help remind you to get into it a little earlier. I’m going to try doing that, and am going to make sure I have a cozy book ready to read. Ok, let’s see. Something totally politics-free and positive. Here is a …

this week

(Photo from earlier this week. The roses opened up) This past week held a mixture of things. One of our extended family members unfortunately passed away, which was difficult. Her family is on our hearts. Alex took a trip. I had some time alone with the kids, which was special. They had to miss a …

Harumph and good morning to you. The freak-outs in me acknowledge the freak-outs in you. Let’s see. The roses are blooming in my backyard! I picked …

I have considered re-naming my blog …

my dad’s bday

We celebrated my precious dad’s birthday the next day, which was delightful, and provided another reason to bake cake, which is fun. I tried a new recipe for vanilla cake, and then made strawberry buttercream for the inside, and raspberry buttercream for the outside. I’m so glad we could be together. ♥️

happy easter! :)

🐇 The kids and A went to church in the morning, then we had an egg hunt. My parents and brother came over :). Made a turkey. It turkied. I tried out a new recipe for vanilla pound cake. I managed to bake it, at least part of the time, with the oven off, so …
