Hi.

It’s been a tumultuous week, since I had to escape the house due to airborne latex in roofing dust from a next-door reroof (roofing tiles are made with asphalt, which contains ground up car tires, which are made of natural rubber latex). I ended up having to stay in a hotel one night during demolition, and then other days, just spent the day away from the house while work was being done, then wore my respirator at home with the air filter on. It’s been challenging. At least they stopped work over the weekend so I got a short break. I had the kids and we enjoyed each other so much. They have gotten very good at SuperTux.

I took some pictures over the days I was out and about. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to go places like this right now. The weather has been beautiful, which just makes me feel even more guilty, knowing that so many places just got a bunch of snow. Anyway here are the pictures.

(I didn’t have my Pinephone so these were taken with my Pixel. it doesn’t make me feel as good but on the other hand you can see what is in the photos. a trade off)

this is Spooner’s Cove

there was hardly anyone there at first (last Wed)
the beach is pebbly
this is the area that has some tide pools
I took many photos and videos of this seagull, who for some reason I found wildly entertaining

rock with birds on it

and then there was this trail called Bluff Trail that is a short drive down the road, and it lets you look down and across at Spooner’s Cove, which was amazing. I had never been there before

this is a different little secluded cove. I saw some ppl down there later so apparently there is some way to get there
and this is it! that’s Spooner’s Cove across the way. The rock with the birds is part of the same cluster of rocks that the other rock with birds is in, behind the tidepools
sun starting to set
informational sign: you are standing at the hub of Pecho Ranch (boob ranch)

That was the end of that day. Here is another day, at the side of the road on the drive up, basically:

that is a snake

and then yesterday, back at Spooner’s Cove

there was Seagull Drama Happening

waves

sunset

and that was yesterday!

Sending you love.
